The Science Of Body Shapers

Dogs are man’s best friends. Body shapers are women’s. They look not unlike something you would expect a Hollywood celebrity to wear at a pool party, except almost all actresses unfailingly have goddess like bodies, and unfortunately a majority of the women do not. This is where body shapers come in.

Body shapers help nip and tuck the wearer’s body in exactly the areas they want. These are specially designed by stitching together panels of clothing using technology to maximize efficiency and minimize discomfort. The makers of body shapers have ensured that the product is available across all countries in all colours, so that women, irrespective of their race can find one that matches their skin tone. Also, most shapers are seamless, which is a big advantage as this ensures that the undergarment is not seen through the dress.

Body shapers, as the name suggests, help tone the entire body. They reduce the waistline, help correct posture and make the stomach region appear flat. The overall effect is pleasing to many as it gives the wearer a smooth and toned silhouette. Many brands carry body shapers- Victoria’s Secret, Spanx, Zivame, and so on.

Societal pressures were at an all time high on women to look their best in the Victorian era. Even though it is not that intense now, the media has successfully created the template for a ‘perfect body’. Not everyone is genetically blessed- and they have body shapers to help them.
